For as long as I can remember I’ve been a writer. I’ve got journals, pieces of paper, my parents even have notes I wrote them framed. I guess it’s just who I’ve always been, and who will always be. I wrote my first song when I was 10, used to write poems and such as I got a little older, then when I became a mother, I wrote to my daughter, which is how the whole blogging thing came about. I wanted a space where I could write about her, and share our life as I was a single mom. It was a place I could record my thoughts, share pictures, and honestly I had no clue anyone would want to read or keep up with them...but they did.
Life happened, circumstances changed, and I paused on writing my blog. In 2017, I started dating my now husband and my love for writing came back. I was inspired again.
Shortly after we married, I wrote a blog called “Wait for a Man” and it went viral. I was in utter shock, but it was confirmation that maybe my words did have a place in this big ole world. Since then, I’ve written on and off- both for myself, and for the public.
My journey through redemption, overcoming struggles in life, setting down shame and picking up who God called me to be is what I pray that my words convey. I share things about marriage, being a Proverbs 31 woman and wife, motherhood and its highs and lows, a little bit of cowboy world sprinkled in, and most of all- my love for Jesus.
In 2019, I found myself at the lowest of lows- after years of battling anxiety and depression, I was suicidal, and by the grace of God, I’m still here. I knew then- I had to totally submit and change my life through Christ. It hasn’t been an easy road- not in the slightest.
But, my prayer is that in this space, you will find your courage, inspiration, strength, and leave feeling incredibly loved, as you are.
The Bible has been a part of my life since I was born, but it hasn’t been until recently that I have become excited and on fire to read His word and know what all it can teach me. I want to empower people to crave the word, how they can fit it into their daily lives, and what a Christ-centered life can look like.
My biggest hope is that each person that comes here knows they are welcome- all of you are welcome, and your brokenness is too. I’m here to serve you, and hopefully give you that little pep-talk you’ve been needing. If you’ve been desiring a safe place to have support, here it is. I am thrilled to be used to write for you and speak to your heart, so you can go after all those God-sized dreams He has for you!
I love music- all kinds. I like old country music I can dance with my cowboy to, I definitely can get down to some good ole 80s rock, and Chrisitan worship music will always have my heart, there's just something so powerful about it.
I have a pacemaker. Yep, since age 16.
I've been bungee jumping and swam in the Great Barrier Reef while studying in college.
I have a dimple in my right shoulder.
I think Mexican food is straight from Heaven and chips and salsa are always a good idea.
